Sexually Transmitted Infection

   We have been focused on educational promotion for potentially infectious people and consultation services for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs for short), such as syphilis, genital chlamydia, and AIDS caused by HIV infection.
 In Toyama Prefecture, counseling and antibody checking services for STDs are anonymous and free of charge.   Appointment by phone to health and welfare centers is required.
 The education of accurate knowledge about STDs is essential for STD prevention. That is why syphilis, which was a refractory disease back in the day, has rebounded in Japan from 2013. It is said that an asymptomatic person can spread it as a carrier.
